With the AXP-200 "Muscle" Thermalright extends the successful "Value" series with a particularly powerful HTPC cooler with an outstanding price-performance ratio.The "Muscle" is a revised version of the popular HTPC cooler AXP-200. By eliminating costly features, like the refined heatpipe caps and the mounting frame for the 150 mm TY 150 the AXP-200 Muscle can be offered at a very attractive price.The most striking feature of the high-end cooler is the very low profile of only 60 mm (73 mm including fan). The AXP-200 Muscle is thus perfectly suited for compact HTPC systems whose owners expect a particularly efficient and silent cooling.The design of the heat sink is based on the T-shape down draft layout, which directs the air flow perpendicular to the motherboard, thus cooling the surrounding components as well. This way voltage converter, memory banks and chipset can be effectively cooled under ideal circumstances.In total, the Muscle features six nickel plated heatpipes, which are soldered to the copper base plate. This ensures the most effective heat dissipation. The special design of the 49 aluminium cooling fins is designed to minimize air resistance and effectively contributes to a particularly effective reduction in temperature.The Muscle comes with a temperature-regulated, 140 mm fan (TY 14013BW) in slim-design. By means of the PWM signal from the motherboard (if supported), the speed is automatically and continuously adjusted from 700 1,300 rpm, according to the requirements of the user. The fan sports black & white colors, as do all the Value coolers.The fan offers the optimal ratio between sound volume (21.7 30.6 dBa) and cooling capacity, without the need to manually engage. The TY-14013R covers the heat sink almost completely, ensuring the best possible heat dissipation. The fan is screwed to the heat sink, not hold by fan clips; slippage of the fan is not possible.As a special feature, the cooling capacity of the fan can be enhanced by using a larger fan. The fan assembly of the cooler corresponds to that of conventional 120 mm fans, which allows the installation of a multitude of 120 and even 140 mm fans. We ask you to check in advance, if your case offers enough space for this.The included universal mounting kit supports all actual Intel- and AMD sockets (Intel LGA775/1366/1156/1155/1150/1151* und AMD AM2/AM2+/AM3/FM1/FM2/FM2+). The installation is easy and self-explaining - an illustrated manual (English and German) is included.The equipment is completed by the excellent Thermalright Chill Factor thermal paste (blister).
