For the connection of devices like the iPhone 5, 5s, 6, 6 plus, 6s, 6s plus, iPod Touch (5th generation), the iPod Nano (7th generation), the iPad (4th generation), and the iPad Mini (all generations)
It is NOT compatible with cables and peripherals designed for its predecessor, unless used with an adapter
