Die Anschlussdose ist Ex e-zertifiziert für Netzwerk-Kameras mit Explosionsschutz in Baureihe ExCam. Gehäuse für höhere Sicherheit mit Ex e sind so konstruiert, dass sie vor übermäßiger Wärme, dem Eindringen von Wasser oder Staub sowie Schlag und Stoß schützen. Dadurch können keine Explosionen erfolgen. Von Ex e wird eine Explosionsschutzmethode für Umgebungen mit Gas definiert, die Bögen, Funken oder heiße Oberflächen verhindert.
